Upcoming Labour Hire Authority (LHA) engagement activities feature online information sessions for new providers and exhibiting at expos.

Commercial cleaning businesses and hosts operating in manufacturing attended online information sessions in July to better understand their key obligations under Victorian labour hire law and the processes around licensing.

Attendees were provided with information and resources, and encouraged to use LHA’s online tools, including the Labour Hire Licence Register.

LHA also presented an information session to mentors from the Small Business Mentoring Service in July, to provide practical advice about labour hire licensing law, business obligations under the Act and resources to pass on to their mentees.

Exhibiting at expos

LHA will be exhibiting at two major upcoming expos in Melbourne, educating providers and hosts about labour hire licensing and the tools available to support business compliance.

Other upcoming activities

LHA is holding one of its regular information sessions for new providers on Wednesday, 13 August, by invitation to providers who gained their licence within the past 12 months.

Information sessions for licensed providers and hosts operating in the construction industry are planned for later this year – invitations will be distributed to relevant providers in the coming weeks. The sessions will cover compliance issues in the construction industry, and the compliance approaches and recent activities LHA is undertaking to address them.
