Report back: Mornington Peninsula Labour Hire Forum
In May, local horticulture and viticulture businesses attended a joint LHA and Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) forum on the Mornington Peninsula.
LHA presented findings from recent inspections, and FWO highlighted the need to improve compliance rates among labour hire providers in the region.
Growers were also provided with guidance on protecting themselves from the risk of fines, disruption and involvement with criminal elements, in engaging labour hire services. The regulators took questions and heard constructive suggestions from businesses about opportunities to improve compliance with the law.
Summerfruit Australia Conference 2026
LHA will be exhibiting at the annual Summerfruit Conference at Marnong Estate in June, educating providers and hosts about labour hire licensing and tools available to support business compliance.
