Upcoming Labour Hire Authority (LHA) engagement activities feature an industry information session on the Mornington Peninsula and a webinar for accountants and tax agents.

Local horticulture and viticulture businesses are encouraged to attend an LHA information session on the Mornington Peninsula on Wednesday, 27 May at Flinders Civic Hall.

This is a unique opportunity to learn more about:

  • active compliance and enforcement operations in the region
  • recent prosecutions of growers and labour hire businesses
  • protecting your business from the risk of fines, disruption and involvement with criminal elements.

Webinar for accountants and tax practitioners

Accountants and tax practitioners can register to attend a webinar on Wednesday, 20 May.

Hosted by Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner Steve Dargavel, the session will provide an overview of the legislative changes from 1 June 2026 and what they mean for labour hire businesses, as well as existing licensing requirements.

The session aims to assist accountants who advise businesses that provide or use labour hire services, and will cover:

  • labour hire licensing in Victoria
  • applying for and maintaining a licence
  • changes to legislation from 1 June
  • ways to support your client with compliance.
