3 July 2026
The Labour Hire Authority’s (LHA) Regulatory Reform Roadshow continues in July, providing final opportunities for licensed labour hire providers to learn more about recent changes to labour hire laws, with sessions online and in Melbourne, Mildura and Narre Warren.
Over 320 licensed providers attended Regulatory Reform Roadshow sessions in June, to learn more about the changes that came into effect on 1 June and to ask questions to ensure their compliance with the new laws.
Labour hire businesses and stakeholders are encouraged to attend a session in their area covering key topics including:
- changes to who is considered suitable to hold a labour hire licence, and on what basis
- new information that licence holders and applicants must supply to LHA
- new standard licence conditions that apply in high-risk labour hire industries
- tools and resources to support businesses regarding the changes.
Upcoming Regulatory Reform Roadshow sessions:
- Tuesday, 7 July – Melbourne
- Thursday, 9 July – Mildura
- Wednesday, 15 July – Online
- Thursday, 16 July – Narre Warren

Report back: Yarra Valley Grower’s Forum
On 25 June 2026, Yarra Valley horticulture and viticulture businesses attended a joint LHA and FWO growers’ forum in Healesville, to discuss common issues in the region and ways for providers and hosts to improve compliance.
Around 36 representatives from the Yarra Valley horticulture and viticulture industries attended the forum, including local growers, labour hire providers, and industry bodies.
Growers were provided with guidance on protecting themselves from the risk of business disruption and fines, and involvement with criminal elements, when engaging labour hire services. Speakers took questions from the audience and heard constructive suggestions to support compliance with the law.
