Engagement with providers, hosts and workers in 2024-25

The Labour Hire Authority (LHA) engagement program expanded in 2024-25, broadening its scope to offer industry-targeted sessions and greater opportunities for providers, hosts and workers.

This financial year, LHA delivered a total of 52 engagement activities including:

  • 32 information sessions/webinars for providers, hosts, workers and intermediaries
  • 11 stakeholder meetings
  • 5 externally hosted presentations
  • 4 booths at expos.

In addition to in-person information sessions, LHA increased its targeted engagement offerings with industry sessions for providers and hosts in:

  • manufacturing
  • care
  • construction
  • commercial cleaning
  • hospitality
  • meat processing.

In 2024-25, LHA provided industry-specific sessions for hosts, covering hosts’ obligations under the Victorian labour hire law, and the tools and resources LHA provides to ensure they only use licensed labour hire providers.

Accountants and tax agents attended a targeted information session in April, with 84 attendees learning about labour hire licensing law and practical advice for their clients.

Feedback from participants at sessions has been positive, with most finding the information sessions worthwhile and engaging.

LHA also exhibited at major expos such as Care Expo and the Manufacturing Week Expo to support providers and hosts in compliance, and to gain industry insights.

These activities led to direct engagement with over 1,300 stakeholders across 2024-25.
